11:51 AM From Canal and Church Street

This is the smoke after the collapse. It is about an hour and half after the second tower collapsed.

Some of the crowd watching, some moving north, away from devastation. Some of them had escaped from the impacts and the collapse. I remember the media interviewing someone who had evacuated from the first tower. He mentioned that "no one panicked, everyone remained calm." New Yorkers can be truly amazing.

The police had started to clear the street. You can see the white dust on the street, some blown in, some which came off of the many emergency vehicles which came up the street. I will never forget the sound of the endless sirens that day.

My view of the first impact was from in front of the restaurant with the yellow canopy on the left.

The wind shifted and the cloud started heading north.
